Western Electric 235G

Western Electric 235G from Chicago dated 12/66. I don't think may of these survived due to their cumbersome dimensions. What I notice about this phone is even though it is an actual 3 slot phone it takes on a lot of the characteristics of a single slot. It has a 29A22 upper housing lock and a 14C vault lock, both portions are opened with a T key. The handset is gray as is the plastic tongue. The number ring around the dial is gray without a daisy as on a single slot phone. The coin release is a button similar to the usual 3 slot payphone. These were located in booths and on walls, both flush mounted and surface mounted, the last picture is of a flush mount housing for it.
