Gray/Western Electric #D-96589, probably started out as a 150G but was specially modified by Western Electric. It is a 5 cent automatic prepay payphone or paystation. D part numbers usually refer to modifications. The coin chute is stamped D96591The upper and backboard are cast iron. This phone came from a rural area, the dial is a rural (numbers only) 2AA dial with not shroud around it and a very cool card in the center. It has the early 1A coin receptacle with a lid dated 7/3/16.
