Gray #13A portable 5 cent coin collector with carry handle. It is attached to a Western Electric 20B antique candlestick telephone. When the operator asked for a deposit a nickel would be inserted which would strike & ring a bell. The sound of the bell would resonate through the case, then through the connecting arm into the phone and would be picked up by the transmitter. Note the nice early sing on the front.
