AE Strowger Potbelly Candlestick Telephone
Automatic Electric "Strowger", "Potbelly" candlestick telephone. This antique telephone has what is called the 11 digit dial. Almon Strowger, a funeral director was losing business to another funeral home with relations to the operator. He invented the automatic dial telephone to combat that problem. Obviously what he invented became huge and was used all over the world and still is in use today. This antique telephone is a beautiful example.
