AE Stairstep Base (A) Candlestick Telephone
Automatic Electric "Stair Step" base candlestick telephone. This antique telephone is the early model of stair step base type. It has a smaller transmitter than the later ones, the dial is a type 23 "Mercedes" type. The physical switch hook linkage is lighter weight and more prone to breaking than the later model. Note the A in the switch hook.
